Dear Dave, Rick and Patti,

There will be some trailer transport revenue issues that are likely to get a
public hearing in the near future. These issues include:
? HB2143: This legislation adds $30 to the base $30 license fee for personal
use trailers weighing from 250 lbs. to 1,999 lbs. giving a total cost of $60
for a trailer license.
? SB6069/SB6110: These bills add fees to the base $30 license fee for
personal use trailers. The fee applies to trailers under 3,000 lbs. and an
additional $27 for trailer weighing over 2,000 lbs.

For further information on the above bills please access the hyperlinks

Every aspect of recreational fee increases are likely to be reviewed by the
legislature in the 2004. Our major emphasis in 2004 will be to monitor the
state budget as it applies to the fee increases as well as monitoring
parking fee increases in state parks as it deals with generating revenue for
state programs.

We are interested in the opinion of the BHCW on these issues. Would you be
more inclined to support or oppose the above legislation.

Thank you for your time.
