Own a piece of BCHW history!
One of the items coming to the March 21st Rendezvous auctions will be a vintage treasure - a BCHW belt buckle from the early 80's! This is one of a limited edition of only 100 ever made. Donated by a friend of BCHW, Jan Bennett, the buckle comes in a custom made wooden shadow box created by Jim Anderson. Included in the package is another relic from the past, a truck decal with the original BCHW logo and name spelling. Bid on it, win it and wear it with pride!  Donated by the Mount St. Helens Chapter.

Ladies Cross Cut Training at Rendezvous 2020 - back by popular demand!
The purpose of this class is to get more ladies comfortable and confident with using and carrying cross cut saws and to encourage them to attend a certification class so they can get out and safely clear trails.
At Rendezvous there will be a 4 hour Ladies Cross Cut Training class on Saturday, March 20th from 9 am to 1 pm. This class will help educate and train women on the fine points of how to become certified and what to look for in finding the right saw for them.  Also covered will be how to properly use the saws and how to evaluate binds and how to cut - or walk away from them. Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be discussed, along with how to give a concise trail report. There will be both classroom instruction and hands on practice offered.
Please reserve your spot by March 16th to Tony Karniss at tkarniss@gmail.com or 360-748-8640. This class is being presented by Tom Faubion, Tony Karniss, Barb Talbott and Debra Davis (USFS)
